I have done some very weird, sometimes questionable things in my life, and tonight was one of them. The charity the band is involved with (Red Eye Inc) was apart of a Haiti charity tonight put on by something called Kids Helping Kids. I should have known by the name that it was going to be a “who’s who” of Disney and Nickelodeon kids pulling up in cheetah painted limos and wearing leather jackets and cocktail dresses. It was like a day care on a red carpet lol. I’ve never seen so many children in makeup and weird adult looking clothes. Parents in tow primping kids with caked makeup as they went out on the carpet. I half expected to see kids tap dancing or something lol….. actually… I did see a kid pop and lock on the sidewalk.. It was so strange. Inside some kid was playing songs off his new rock album with a full massive wall of sounds coming from speakers and no band. Just him and an acoustic guitar but full drums and distortion coming from who knows where lol. The kids loved it which was good, but it was honestly weird. Me and ChadM ended up in the green room (I was looking for food) with all these “VIP” children lol, and they started changing clothes and stuff while we were in there! I had my back to them, but they were tearing clothes off getting ready for dance numbers and whatever, right in front of me. ChadM, and other people we were with. I felt weird. I did see some some autographed skate decks I wanted. Not for the autographs but for the deck lol.
What was fun was having a few interviews done by kids at the event. I think when I was a kid I would have just made weird noises in the mic if I was doing an interview, but they just jumped in asking us all kinds of questions. It was fun, and more refreshing than grownups who honestly don’t care what we have to say lol.
The night probably seemed weird or strange too because I just rolled back into town this morning from Arizona and was low on sleep. Driving all night then doing this all day can make you crazy. It was fun to see friends, make new ones, and realize how delusional I was from lack of sleep.
Tomorrow we meet with the video director and hopefully JD about he new clothing line so we can get that stuff going here. So tired of the business end, I’m dying to get back on the road.

Well I made it back home from Arizona last night and the drive was awesome! Full moon, everyone sleeping, shadows from all the clouds, by far one of the best drives in a while. Reminded me how much I don’t really enjoy daylight. It was great. Got home and crashed, woke up, checked the site and realized I REALLY hate the new band pic. It’s only my fault cause I approved the pic, but I really really hate the pic of myself in it. It’s not a vain “oh my goodness I look sleepy or stupid” kind of thing, it has to do with business reasons. Reasons I won’t go into on here cause it’s boring and long. Bottom line though, I need to get it changed.
The band has a red carpet tonight in Hollywood. I think this one should be a lot of fun cause there’s a bunch of people we know going. Might actually stay longer for this one instead of making an appearance and leaving lol. It’s another benefit for Haiti, which it’s crazy to think of now that Chile is all messed up too! What is going on!? You read it on here, this is only the beginning. I can still feel the LA quake coming… so can my friends.
This March has me so incredibly anxious for some reason. I feel like I have a billion things to do and can not fail at a single one. It’s either going to be extremely stressful, or glorious. I’m going with glorious cause I hate stressful.
I need to get all dolled up for for a carpet. I would love to go to in my PJs one of these times lol. I think I will.

Well it’s almost midnight and I’m here in Arizona. I really hate driving in the day, so I’m leaving back to LA here in a few minutes. The band has an event tomorrow we have to be at, so I would rather just get into LA in the morning, crash, then be out all night. The band has a really long stressful month ahead, so I’m actually feeling really anxious tonight. A long drive in my thoughts should help with all the things floating in my head.
I was able to watch my first bit of olympics tonight and it was pretty cool. US won the bob sled thing for the first time in like 62 years. It was just more fun watching how happy people are when they win something they’ve been working like 4 hard years for. Makes me want to be in the olympics for something. My buddy Spencer is as at the olympics this weekend for the US hockey game, and I think my other friend Mcweeze is there too. Maybe before I sign up for being in the olympics I should go watch one first? I don’t know. I need to decide on my event first lol.
Well I have a really long drive through the desert with UFOs tonight, so I should stop typing and leave. If you never hear from me again, something really bad happened.

February is a really short month! I feel like we’re just hitting our stride here and it’s already winding down! Oh well, there’s some good stuff poppin in March I’m looking forward to.
Had weird dreams last night about sledding and snow. Best part about the dreams was that I was out playing in snow and not cold! I think my mind forgot to throw that detail into the dream lol. At one point I was pulling myself up a hill with one arm while on a sled and I pulled my groin and that didn’t feel good. Glad my brain remembered to add pain in my dream. Kind of weird.
It’s so quiet right now… no city sounds, no calls… did I die? Wait.. I hear birds chirping.

So I’m in Arizona right now. Came here for a birthday and to take care of some things. I’ll head home on Sunday where the band will be hitting a red carpet benefit for Haiti. I’m so glad we have like internet and phones and all that cause otherwise being in a band would be WAY more complicating and restricting. I can do most my work from my laptop and cell phone. Although I wouldn’t be all that sad if something happened and all our tech was destroyed leaving us to hunt like wild animals and send messages on hawks and dragons.
Ate some sushi tonight at the birthday dinner and it was good. Landlocked sushi doesn’t taste that great about 99% of time, but tonight was alright. I know I may sound like a food snob but if you’ve eaten a steak from Texas then one from somewhere like Florida, you’ll understand that certain areas of the country just have better certain foods. Period. If you live by the ocean, seafood is your deal, so to get pretty good sushi in the middle of the desert isn’t all that common. I only know this from having sushi in the desert like 15 times. Sushi in Mountain states tastes like feet unless it’s flown in the day of. Honestly, I’ll eat anything, I don’t care, but I LOVE sushi, so fresh good sushi is the one food where I’ll actually savor every bite and all that. So it was a good night!
Found an old guitar at the place I’m staying and played some tunes on it. Strings must be 12 years old lol. Nothing like thuddy strings when playing some classical licks lol.
Well I have desert activities tomorrow, so I’m out.

Have you ever noticed how most people in cars clearly have no understanding of the fact that they’re driving a 1 ton machine? The people who drift from lane to lane, or the guy who will sit at a green light just long enough to realize it, then be the only one to make it through. A lot of countries don’t even have cup holders because driving is meant for…. driving. We here in the US treat it like it’s an activity that should involve food, fiddling with things in the car, and gawking. I think it has something to do with the vast spaces we have to travel. But that doesn’t fully explain the people who drive horrible. I don’t know. Someday I want a driver and I’m going to sit in the back on my laptop and do work while he drives me around.
I have a bunch of crap I should be doing right now as I write this blog and I can’t remember what…. great.
Sunday we have another event to attend for Haiti. It’s GREAT that all these events are held for Haiti, but I think this will be the 49th Red Carpet Haiti event I’ve been to lol. Still, I’m looking forward to it. Monday (sorry if I already said this in another blog) we’re meeting with the music video director to go over things. I hope people aren’t all offended by the video cause that’s annoying. It’s going to be darkly funny :) I’m sure some will be, but you can’t please everyone I guess.

Well ChadM came over and we tore it up in Modern Warfare 2. I love that game. I used to dream of the day when videos games would be realistic. Kind of makes me want to join the army lol.
Got a call from Spencer tonight and he needed some guitar tracks so ChadM and I headed to the studio to do that. I ended up laying these retarded slide guitar tracks and one chord. It was quick, easy, and not very good lol. It was for what’s called a Bumper. Kind of like that America Idol intro song thingy. It was pretty funny.
I need a road trip here soon since I’m stuck waiting on slow recovering people on this fall tour stuff. Things are moving forward for sure, but just doesn’t seem fast enough. Really frustrating. It was pretty sad having large companies interested in us and kind of freeze up once the recession hit. Everything was looking perfect, album release, tour plans and all that… then everything fell apart. Our album has “officially” been released, but not in stores like it’s supposed to. It’s going to once all this red tape clears, but it’s hard to wait on. You wouldn’t believe the complications that bands have to go through in the entertainment industry before things are up and running. Some artists are signed to a label and don’t do anything for 5 years! It’s just a weird business. I feel like our hold is up though which is nice. At least ours was just simply do to the economy and not other problems. I’m ready to get back out on the road and started on the new album once I’m Sorry LA has made it’s rounds and gotten it’s deserved attention. Good stuff to come.
ChadM is writing a blog for Modern Drummer Magazine so be checking back here for when that goes up. Should be cool!

Nothing like rolling over in bed and doing work from your computer in your underwear. I tried to get up and get to the gym for a bit but emails and updates were calling, so here I am. I’ll head in a bit once I know the gym isn’t as full anyway. Although my curtains are all shut, I think it’s a really sunny day outside… which means I’ll stay in the dark a little longer lol. I actually woke up thinking it was friday, so I was all over my Friday Night plans till I realized it was still boring Thursday and everyone has 1 more cubicle work day! So annoying. I really need a giant calendar on the wall.
So Saturday rehearsals start up again and we’re audition a new keyboard player for the live stuff. It should be fun, I just hope everything gels and we all have a good time. It’s nerve racking jumping in with a band and playing your instrument knowing they’re judging you every second. Which we will be lol. But I hope she doesn’t feel too awkward about it. It will be fun. I hope.
Been going over notes and business crap with the creative director of TSD Management this week getting things sorted out for The Suicide Denial brand. Fun exciting things as far as clothes go, and other weird things. I should know more about some upcoming spot dates for the band once we get this keyboarding situation taken care of.
I need to do some more legal research, so later.

Sunday is a day of rain so it says on the weather website. I must plan a magical dance to entice the God’s of Thunder from Vegas. I will grow fresh fruits and bake pies, I will harvest grain and walk my dog. These will please GoT from Vegas and I will e their favorite for my workings.
I sent odd dirty texts to an unsuspecting friend tonight which through him off guard. I used to do this sort of thing a lot, but most of my old old friends know this is just what I do. The new ones don’t, so I’m playing my once favorite game of senile, odd, pervy texts to make them uncomfortable and confused. Works like a charm. The good ones adapt and jump in then the game ends, but the ones who are scared… well they run. Or stop texting. Actually tonight’s version was with only one person cause it was so much fun. I don’t want to start another one and have it end bad, so I’ll keep this funny one till I strike again!
It rained all day and I loved every second of it! It’s nice knowing rain will go away cause they I can enjoy it when it’s here. Tomorrow is back to sunshine as always, but the rain is a fun little break.
Found out from my financial advisor that I need to start ANOTHER business officially. Who knew that FBI people don’t like it when your paperwork stuff isn’t all there. Luckily I’ve never had any of these problems and I actually have a grown up thing like a “financial advisor”. Next thing I know I’ll be watering my lawn and watching Dateline. Which reminds me, why do people sleep?! I’m supposed to be a “grownup” and everyone is always sleeping! I’m pretty sure the world is going to end in a few hours, so everyone should wake up!
Tomorrow I’m going hunting in LA. For the trickiest beast of all. Humans. I hear if you catch one they send more after you with makeshift weapons and cars with flashing lights. I shall be careful.

I love this weather. I’m at the beach and it’s raining right now outside. So incredibly relaxing. Took a drive through the hills of Brentwood with all the green jungle trees flowing over streets and stuff…. I’m so relaxed you could probably slap me and I wouldn’t care. Well… maybe not that relaxed.
Trying to find time this week to meet with JD about the new clothing line The Suicide Denial is doing. Had to do all the paperwork for this crap today, so I’m ready to get onto the fun stuff. It’s crazy how fast time flies. This whole festival thing is supposed to be this fall and we’re waiting on people as always. I need more for this TSD army. I feel like Agent Smith in the Matrix Reloaded fighting Neo. “More”. Remember? Do you have any idea what I’m talking about? You just going to stare at me blankly? The fight scene where there’s like 5,000 Agent Smiths! Whatever.
I just found out my friend wrote and performed the theme song for an HBO show coming out called How to Make it In America. His name is Aloe Blacc, he gave me a start in LA when I moved here 8 years ago. I met him the very day I rolled into town. He got me in the studio and playing on some of his tracks. I miss the days of recording with him and talking about whatever. Great guy. I’m happy for him. He’s earned all his success with Stones Throw Records and this HBO thing.
I need to figure out what I’m doing. This whole relaxed vibe is making me now sleepy lol
