Clingy

You ever seen the movies and TV shows where the main character has a clingy ex-girlfriend that never gets the picture? You ever taken a second to think what on earth is going through her head? Why would a person want to stick around when they’re continually told to leave and that nothing will ever exist between them again? Why does the girl cling and somehow convince herself that the ex boyfriend will change and he he’ll want to come back around and be together? She’ll use all the “good times they had” as a reason to hang on to a dead carcass of a relationship. I’ve had friends that have had this sort of thing happen, but it has always amazed me at the insecurity of a human who can’t muster up the dignity to pick themselves up and move on. Is their future so scary that they can’t let go of the past “good” memories they created with someone who doesn’t want them? I mean wow…. “if I could only get back to 1985, I would have won state” lol. I was watching Wayne’s World the other day and he had this clingy ex girlfriend that just didn’t get it. Everyone kind of pitied her and was scared of her thickheadedness towards the situation. Just made me think, what on earth makes a person do that? It’s either fear or total delusion.
